Fillings are traditionally used to fill and repair cavities. At Vantage Pointe Dental we are amalgam (silver fillings) free and use only tooth colored composite. Composite is a wonderful material that is both esthetic and strong. To repair cavities, the decay is removed and restored with composite exactly matching the existing tooth. With composite, the fillings will be virtually undetectable!
Composite can be used for much more than just fillings. Sometimes referred to as bonding, composite can be used to repair or changes the esthetics of front teeth as well. Bonding is quick and painless, and can be a more economical way of completely changing your smile. From full fractures to simply wanting a whiter smile, bonding if a very useful tool.
