Extractions

Tooth Extractions

An extraction is a procedure to remove a tooth. The need for an extraction can vary from severally loose teeth, to large cavities or fractures. Extractions are mostly done under local anesthesia, meaning never being put under. Through the use of a system of instruments, any teeth requiring extraction is done so carefully and as atraumatically as possible.

Once a tooth is removed, there are several options available to replace the tooth or teeth. Such options include; implants, bridges, partial dentures or flippers. In many cases, any teeth requiring extraction can be replaced at the same time as the extraction!
